Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Full-bodied, smooth, rich and chocolatey with cassis, blueberry, cherry, licorice, instant coffee, toast, vanilla and tar. A punch of alcohol on the palate makes for a long warm finish with just touch of chocolate. Maybe chocolate liqueur finish? A deep ruby gem that needs some decanting but it will reward you after 1-2 hours. Better still, hold for a couple of years and compare to my notes. Pair with beef or lamb. $30 - might be a stretch.
Tasted: January 2016
Reduced prunes and black plums on the nose, with raisined fruit on the palate due to the high alcohol. Appealing to those who love a full palate whack. The word "Mollydooker" is the Australian slang term for someone who is left-handed. Very tannic on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
