Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Michele Satta's Piastraia Bolgheri Superiore is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet, and Syrah. Deep and rich, it shows dark fruits, black cherry, stewed plum, charcoal and earth. With fine tannins and refreshing acidity this Bolgheri super Tuscan would be ideal with braised beef dishes. Enjoy 2017-2025. Tasted November 2017. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Michele Satta is the producer of Piastraia Superiore (2012) Piastraia was a Bolgheri Rosso and has now been upgraded to Bolgheri Superiore status with this vintage. The red wine blend is 25% of Merlot, Sangiovese, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. A beautiful, hardy wine to have with beef tournedos in wild mushroom sauce or your favourite steak on the grill. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
