Meet the Michele Castellani Cinque Stelle Amarone: austere yet invitingly generous, with dense black cherry, cassis and plum folded into anise spice and white-pepper heat. A smoky seam of flinty mineral and bittersweet chocolate underscores velvet-rich tannins. Crafted from sun-dried Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella & Molinara, each berry rests in Slavonian cask and French barrique for three years, then another year in bottle. A sublime lesson in Valpolicella’s raisined power. Perfect alongside some osso buco with saffron risotto.

Amarone Classico food pairings: rich tomato sauce and pasta, vegetarian lasagna, fricassee rabbit.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
