Full-bodied times x 10. This is a huge wine on all dimensions: flavour, alcohol, depth and concentration. Aromas of black plums and black fruit with mocha and toasty oak and vanilla spice from oak aging. Pair with brontosaurus burgers.

Food pairings: meatlover's pizza, gourmet burgers, Porchetta.

Reviews and Ratings

Michael David's Freakshow Red 2015 is a full-bodied, robust and juicy red blend of Syrah and Petite Sirah sourced from the Lodi Wine Region. Look for ripe dark plums, liquid blackberry, sweet caramel flavours wrapped up in a blanket of smoke (from oak ageing). Big at 15% abv, but smooth with well-balanced acidity and a lingering dark fruit finish. Bring on the roast leg of lamb, no cutlery needed. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
