A juicy, mouth-watering Niagara Pinot Noir with seductive aromas of cranberry and sour cherry. Medium-bodied and smooth. Racy acidity for tangy sauces.

Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled planked salmon, roast duck, grilled lamb chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Somewhat less complex than previous vintages of this wine, this one did the sweet/sour cherry dance for me. Shows cool climate Pinot characteristics from start to finish.
Megalomaniac Sonofabitch 2016 Pinot Noir is a comment on the grape -- as PN can be a ..... to grown and vinify. Mother Nature was kind to this Pinot Noir grown in the Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region, with silky cherry, raspberry and earthy spice flavours on the palate. Pair with roast quail stuffed with wild mushrooms. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
