McConnell’s 20 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whisky, Northern Ireland is a rare and luxurious single malt with deep, layered aromatics of dried apricot, orange peel, honey, toasted oak and warm baking spice. The palate is rich and velvety, revealing flavours of caramelized apple, dark toffee, roasted almonds and gentle spice, balanced by elegant oak influence and a long, refined finish at about 51.2% alcohol. Extended aging brings remarkable depth while maintaining the smooth, approachable character associated with Irish whiskey. Fascinating fact: McConnell’s traces its roots back to 1776 in Belfast, making it one of the historic Irish whiskey names revived in modern times, and the 20 Year Old single malt highlights the brand’s commitment to long maturation and premium small batch releases. Serve it neat in a tulip glass, or with a few drops of water to open the aromatics.

Irish Whiskey food pairings: fig and walnut cake, crème brûlée, roasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate truffles.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
