Maturana Naranjo 2023 Torontel Orange Wine from Chile’s Maule Valley pours a vivid, light orange hue and greets the glass with a perfumed bouquet of honeyed white florals, orange blossom, white tea, fresh white grapes and orange marmalade. Produced from grapes sourced in the Caliboro zone’s 90-year-old vineyards and fermented as an orange wine with nine months of skin contact in concrete eggs, it delivers a medium-to-full body braced by zesty freshness, subtly grainy tannins and a complex interplay of exotic spices and fine dried-herb nuances, culminating in a delicate, floral finish. Drink now with flatbreads, pasta primavera, or herbed quiches.

Food pairings: herbed quiches, flatbreads, salads, pasta Primavera.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
