Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasting done while in Aruba. This is the first winery in New Zealand to grow Sauvignon Blanc commercially. Started by brothers Bill and Ross Spence 1969. The wine is light green in colour. On the nose citrus and tropical flavours, herbal and a hint of green banana and pineapple. On the palate strong citrus and tropical fruit flavours, long finish.
A nice expression of new world Sauvignon Blanc. Food match, Simon Gult's Summer Lemon & Prawn Risotto.

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
