Wild truffle and tart cherry on this nose of this robust northern Italian red wine that has been produced since 1927. Pair with risotto and wild boar.

Nebbiolo D’Alba food pairings: red meat-based dishes, especially braised beef, game and mature cheeses.

Reviews and Ratings

Colour: ruby red tending to delicate garnet. Nose: elegant, with notes of liquorice, cinnamon and tertiary aromas of goudron (tar).
Taste: Robust, dry and full-bodied. Good balance between the acid and tannins, and between the softer components due to the alcohol. Blackberry, vanilla, liquorice, tobacco and coffee flavours.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
