Full-bodied, round and supple. The merlot grapes that comprise this wine were dried under controlled condition for 20-25 days in the Verona region. Aromas of dark fruit . Nice for the price. Pair with hamburgers.

Food pairings: mushroom risotto, grilled eggplant-and-mushroom kebabs.

Fans of Ripasso will want to give this unique red a try. Made with Veneto’s native Corvina grape in tandem with Merlot, it employs the region’s famed grape-drying technique to intensify the dark cherry, fig, plum and mocha spice notions, and add depth and roundness to its mouth feel. Superb value. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Oct. 2012

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
