Marqués de Cáceres Excellens Crianza 2019 is an excellent value, vegan-friendly 100% Tempranillo at $19. Dry, medium-bodied and fruity, look for bright cherry, plum, savoury herbs and spicy notes on this popular Rioja red. Tannins are velvety and this vintage is drinking beautifully now.

Food pairings: grilled pork chops, lamb kebabs, roasted root vegetable casserole.
