Sensuously rich on the nose with toasty nut aromas, this Old World Burgundian Chardonnay is full-bodied and vibrant with ripe apple, lemon curd, toasty almond and hazelnut flavours finishing on a lingering tropical fruit note with great acidity for food. Pair with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: crab cakes with lemon sauce, seafood, oysters on the half shell with strawberry mignonette.

Reviews and Ratings

Marchand-Tawse 2017 Chardonnay is a vibrant and beautifully balanced Burgundian Chardonnay with ripe green apple, pear, tropical fruit and nutty flavours on the palate. This is a collaboration between French vigneron Marchand and the Niagara winery Tawse and the Chardonnay grapes for this vintage were sourced from the butte de Corpeau site, located at the foot of the Puligny and Chassagne-Montrachet vineyards. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
