A full-bodied red wine that is a blend of tradition Rhone grapes: Grenache Syrah Mourvèdre Cinsault. This wine is bursting with black fruit aromas. Supple with dark spices and a long finish. Decant 2 hours. Drink with hearty meat dishes. Spice and anise on a long finish. Try it with a pepper steak.

Châteauneuf-Du-Pape food pairings: beef bourguignon, roast lamb, pasta with Bolognese sauce..

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Smoky, black currant, fig, spice with loads of flavour with an incredibly silky smooth and polished finish. A complex Amarone that's ready to be enjoyed now and will age beautifully for another 10 years. Tasted June 2016. 92 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
From Manus Dei Du Château Sixtine, a full-bodied Châteauneuf du Pape with a traditional blend of Rhone Grenache Syrah Mourvèdre and Cinsault grapes. You can sniff this one all day long and still find something new; this wine is bursting with layers of black fruit, fig, plum and sweet smoky spice and a long mocha raspberry finish. Well-structured with good acidity and firm tannins, you can cellar this one for at five years and it will still be at its best. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
