Pleasant for the price: Old World Chardonnay with a touch of oak but not much. Green apple goodness. Harvested from the southern end of Burgundy. Finishes with a citrus lift and bright orchard fruit. Pair with Dover sole.

Food pairings: stuffed roast chicken, linguini with clams and fennel, grilled fish, lobster in butter sauce, beef bourguignon.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

2014 vintage: Cave Talmard's Macon-Uchizy is a 100% Chardonnay from the Maconnais region in the south of Burgundy. Very expressive, with ripe tropical and citrus fruit shinning bright. More tropical fruit on the creamy finish. A great value priced white Burgundy. Tasted January 2015. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Burgundian Chardonnay that's well-balanced and nicely priced. This French white wine won a Gold Medal at the 2014 Concours Général Agricole in Paris. The Talmard name is recorded in viticultural documents going all the way back to the seventeenth century. - Community Wine Reviews
