Mascaret is the French word for Tidal Bore, meaning the salt water from the Bay of Fundy coming in land to mix with the fresh water. That's why our Mascaret is a blend of the locally grown Frontenac grape and wild blueberries. You have the tannin feel from the grape but the blueberry decreases the acidity along with some oak creates a medium bodied red.We sulphite at only an organic wine level so do not recommend to cellar long term.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
