Good balance with black cherry aromas and flavours that's not overly sweet. Medium-bodied and smooth and a fair price for this quality, especially for Pinot Nor which is always expensive. This hails from one of California's cool climate regions in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma which creates the balance in the wine from cool nights.

Claria Calderone rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

With the cold weather, this was a great pick. No regrets!
I must admit I have not had a Pinot Noir in quiet a while, as most of us just seem to always gravitate to a Merlot or a Cabernet Sauvignon, but this Pinot really hit the spot. Its delicate which is soothing to the palate, there are accent flavours of cherry and raspberrys which I love. The silky finish makes it a crowd pleaser and a comfort wine to serve among guests and friends :)
Produced by Ernest & Julio Gallo, this Californian Pinot Noir offers the balance that's the signature of the Sonoma region. The original MacMurray homestead was settled 150 years ago. Offers notes of sage, black raspberry and spice. Polished tannins. - Community Wine Reviews
