Fragrant with ripe red cherry, spice and cracked pepper aromas on the nose. Complex, layered and delicious with ripe red berry, cherry, cracked pepper and cedar spice flavours finishing smoky and mouth-watering on the palate. Tannins are ripe. As the winemaker Michel Chapoutier says" wine should be made to pair with food" and he accomplishes this so well with his mouth-watering wines.

Food pairings: prime rib, brisket, game meats, grilled pork chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Petite Ruche 2017 Syrah is an intense purplish red in the glass and is so fragrant with fresh red berries, crushed raspberries, black cherry; dry, medium-bodied with an abundance of ripe berry fruit and a lingering smoky, spicy and elegant finish with polished tannins. Good acidity to pair with grilled ribs and bison burgers. This Crozes-Hermitage was vinified in cement vats with two pump overs daily and aged in oak vats.- Community Wine Reviews
