Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Tempranillo with a 5% splash of Garnacha. Aged one year in oak split 60/40 between French and American oak. Exhibits pleasant ripe dark fruit notes, especially black cherry, plum, and blueberry. Oak is mild and complementary. Modern, fruit-forward styling with moderate acid, tannin, and body, which bodes well for broad food matching. Try alongside pork chops with a dark berry sauce or reduction.
Luis Cañas 2016 Crianza Tempranillo is a richly layered Rioja red with ripe dark cherry, dried fruit, cigar box, baking spice and cracked black pepper spice flavours finishing with smoky vanilla notes on the palate. Tannins are firm. Cellar for a couple of years or decant one hour prior to pouring with a prime rib steak done rare. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
