A solid performer, year after year. This robust red offers tasty notes of dark red fruit, cedar and some smoke. Great party wine.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Fresh and fruity, this wine comes from the Rhone of southern France. Here, Grenache and Syrah (which grows more in the northern Rhone) make up a vast majority of the wines produced here. There is no exception here.
This wine is bright ruby red, with moderate alcohol (13%).
It's medium bodied and smokey, with some pretty extroverted aromatics.
Flavours of cherry, cassis, tea leaf, cedar, and bramble. Spicy wine, though not particularly dense.
A racey choice for barbecued lamb, or some beef woth some fat on it.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
