Los Clop Sur Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza is a bold, full-bodied red showcasing aromas of blackcurrant, dark cocoa, and hints of dried herbs. It's dry with supple tannins and concentrated dark fruit flavors. Serve it slightly below room temperature with grilled ribeye steak as the wine's rich structure and savory notes will stand up beautifully to the charred meat, or pair it with beef empanadas where the wine's plush texture and spice hints will complement the seasoned filling perfectly. Brothers Rubén and Gustavo Clop, great-grandchildren of founder José Clop, carry on the family legacy at this historic estate established in 1880 by their Spanish immigrant ancestor who planted some of Mendoza's earliest vineyards. The Sur label represents the family's commitment to producing accessible, terroir-driven wines from their southern Mendoza vineyards, where the arid climate and alluvial soils contribute to the wine's intense fruit concentration. Enjoy now or cellar for 3-4 years.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled ribeye steak, beef empanadas, roasted lamb shoulder.
