Calm, cool, and collected with a label soothing to the eyes in mint-green. Discreetly aromatic with lime leaf, elderflower, ginger, almond, and fennel on the nose. Zesty but balanced with gentle lees and flavours of cucumber, white tea and mineral that mark the palate. Features a pleasant texture and notable persistence. Enjoy now or hold another 2-3 years. Tasted October 2024. (90 points Sara d'Amato,winealign.com) MINE: Mint-leaf and elderflower scents mingle with a ginger-almond spice ribbon in the Loimer Grüner Veltliner, while the palate is lithe with white-tea coolness, cucumber-slice freshness and river-stone minerality, finishing on a silky lees texture with lingering poise. A great pairing for chilled gazpacho or oyster ceviche. NEW: Kamptal, a stretch of the Danube valley known for turning Gruner Veltliner into something special and structured, is where Loimer farms this bottling organically. Green apple and quince carry a savoury edge, and the acidity gives real drive through the middle of the palate. White pepper on the finish. Bratwurst and spaetzle, or a seafood pasta carbonara, would both work.

Grüner Veltliner food pairings: bratwurst and spaetzle, linguini with rose sauce, creamy green herb risotto, seafood pasta carbonara.
