From Austria, this Gruner Veltliner from the Kamptal wine region is ripe pear and fresh herbs. The 2016 vintage of the Loimer Langenlois has a refreshing spritz in the wine with a zesty citrus acidity and white pepper on the nose. Very clean and very good with seafood. Crisp and fresh with terrific vibrant lime acidity. Medium-bodied.

Grüner Veltliner food pairings: linguini with rose sauce, creamy green herb risotto, asparagus with fried egg.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

GV seem to never by heavy and this one is no exception. I might use the term elegant to describe it's citrus and mineral notes. Along with a fresh crisp finish. Lighter than other GVs perfect for a hot day with some seafood appetizers.
Loimer 2016 Grüner Veltliner from the Kamptal wine region is medium-bodied, crisp, lemony with green herbs, incredible acidity finishing with white pepper spice and a refreshing spritz. Pair with fresh seafood for sure - Community Wine Reviews
