Full-bodied with fleshy purple plum and black cherry aromas wrapped in a blanket of toasty oak. Brooding, temperamental and fascinating, like the boyfriend you never got over after the break-up. Unlike that boyfriend, though, this wine finishes smooth and satisfying. Pair it with a triumphant smile.

Gaglioppo food pairings: grilled veal chops, risotto, beef and red wine stew, grilled lobster tail, port tenderloin, spaghetti and meatballs.

Liber Pater Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore

This wine i?s quite good with an unexpected level of sophistication at a great price. The Liber Pater Cirò Rosso Classico Superior has a fairly dry finish. It's balance of flavors demonstrate how skilled wine-makers can make a decent wine at a reasonable price. I believe this particular wine has been helping people take notice of Italy's southern Calabrian region as it shows how much potential the region has. Bravo Liber Pater, bravo!

Quite involved aromas of leather, tobacco, spice, anise and roses join the excellent fruit notes to create a complex and elegant nose. The palate offers superb flavour replays and red fruits supported by underlying integrated acidity and tannin. Tasty and very good. An ideal partner for a variety of barbecued meats.
