An incredibly juicy, delicious, smooth, full-bodied French red wine for the money! Wow. This Syrah comes from southern France and celebrates winemaker's Thierry Boudinaud's ancestors who were pioneering aviators Joseph and Etienne Montgolfier. Intense and concentrated aromas and flavours of dark berries, black raspberry and cherry with a lovely whiff of smoke.

Peppoli grapes are grown on the estate vineyards in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. On the 9th of September, 1783, they successfully flew their paper balloon two miles at the Court of Versailles. The grapes are picked in the early morning to preserve their freshness, yet the warmth of the southern France region ensures that they are fully ripe at harvest. The wine is aged in oak barrels before being bottled. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
