Reviews and Ratings

A terrific Italian red wine for the price point. Aromatic red and black fruit and smoke. Full-bodied. Pair with hearty meat dishes. MINE: From the Tuscany wine region, Leonardo (2014) is a red wine blend of 85% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot. The nose on this wine is ripe red berries, dusty roses, herbs and spice. This wine is juicy, structured, well-balanced with refreshing acidity. All the way around well-rounded. OTHER: This wine is primarily Sangiovese with a mix of Bordeaux varietals in support. It's crafted in a juicy, approachable style, with ripe red and black fruit leading the way. Expect a floral, fresh wine, with a ripeness to the fruit that suggests a touch of sweetness in the mouth, accented by spice and subtle savoury tones. A good option for smoked meats, charcuterie platters or burgers (Vintages Panel, updated). - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
