Vintages Wine Panel: An elegant, almost feminine wine with a highly refined aroma profile, including black plum, licorice, leather and hints of earth. Dry, with pretty fruit at the start which is nicely supported by ripe tannins on the mid-palate. A Brunello that may be enjoyed in its youth with rare cuts of meat, or cellar it short-term. My note: A stunning wine of marvelous aromatic intensity, yet balanced and refined, very elegant. A superb wine on many dimensions. Aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries, mocha, smoke, violets and earth. Full-bodied with silky, polished tannins. Buy this wine for your anniversary.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: steak with mustard sauce, prime rib, sausage casserole, stew.

Leonardo Da Vinci (2012) is an elegant Brunello Di Montalcino from the Tuscany wine region. Lots of ripe black plum, anise on the nose, earthy and meaty on the palate finishing with dark chocolate and espresso notes. Drink now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
