Reviews and Ratings

Exceptionally high alcohol makes this wine taste almost hot. Aromas of purple plums and blueberry jam. Pair with a cold shower. MINE: Leese-Fitch (2014) is a fun, round and easy-drinking Zinfandel from California. Very approachable and easy to pair with anything from mushroom burgers to grilled Hanger steak, barbeque pork ribs to grilled vegetables. OTHER: This 2016 Zin is a blend of fruit sourced from prime sites in Lodi, Paso Robles, Mendocino and Clarksburg. Mostly Zin, it has some Petite Sirah and a splash or two of Barbera and Merlot mixed in. It's smooth and supple, with ripe strawberry, raspberry and black cherry, plus a little vanilla and chocolate that show there's always just a bit more here. Excellent freshness and balance throughout. Great value, and a wonderful option for ribs or a three cheese beef lasagna. (Vintages panel, Jan. 2019). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
