I see raw oysters on the half shell and steamed mussels in this Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine's future. Look for oyster shell, flinty mineral, lime zest and binned green apple flavours on this vibrant Melon de Bourgogne white from the Loire.

Muscadet food pairings: steamed mussels and frites, oysters pot pie, seafood medley on creamy, spinach fettuccini noodles.

Reviews and Ratings

Le Fils Des Gras Moutons 2017 Muscadet Sèvre-Et-Maine sur lie is fantastic value under $16. From the Loire wine region, and produced by Claude Branger, vign.-récolt., the Melon de Bourgogne wine grapes for this zesty, leesy white are sourced from vines between 40 and 70 years of age. Pair with fresh-steamed shellfish dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
