Natalie's Score: 91/100

Vintages Wine Panel: Deep and intense aromas of black cherry, tea leaves, earth tones, blueberry, black pepper and fresh herbs. Dry with very good aroma replays (especially raspberry, black pepper and tea). Ripe and juicy centre that’s balanced out by good mid-palate tannins. Medium bodied, with a very solid finish. Showing very well now with charcuterie or beef brisket. It will also reward 2-4 years in a cellar. My note : As they say: lashings of black fruit with a tarry streak through it. Full-bodied and scrumptious, ready to meet any hearty meat dish head on.

Food pairings: hearty meat dish.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
