Natalie's Score: 90/100

This full-bodied Spanish red wine is a blend of mostly Tempranillo, and small amounts of Mazuelo and Graciano grapes grown on 20- to 25-year-old vines. Complex with aromas of cigar box, leather, violets and black cherry. Full-bodied and mouth-watering. Love the taste and feel of maturity in this wine. Drinking well now though will also keep in the cellar for a few years. Pair with veal. A gorgeous garnet hue in the glass. Very mouth-filling and coating. Long, lingering finish. Pair with toasted nuts, hard cheeses and gentle conversation.

Tempranillo food pairings: herbed steaks, portobello mushroom, chili, soup, lamb chops.

Nose reveals layers of smoke, vanilla, clove/nutmeg. Palette has good structure, substantial tannins, a depth of rich fruit and a long dry finish. Pair with rare beef dishes.

measured fruit, dryer style with noted tannins.
This robust Spanish red wine is made by Lan, a winery established in 1972, in the Rioja region. It's a blend of Tempranillo, Mazuelo and Graciano grapes grown on vines 20-25 years of age. - Community Wine Reviews
