Reviews and Ratings

Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

The Frescobaldi family is intimately linked with the history of Tuscany itself. With over 700 years of wine making in the region, the family still artfully crafts wines with the utmost respect for tradition and the land.
Made from 100% Merlot hailing from the arid and heavily clay composed Castelgiocondo estate, do not expect a light expression of the varietal!
It is a powerhouse of a Merlot!
The deepest of ruby red in color, it exudes intense aromas of ripe blackberries, dark coffee-infused tiramisu, dutch cacao powder, pure vanilla extract and freshly cracked tomato stems.
Dry and very spicy on the palate with some "torrefaction" as well as a slight bitterness. Very complex and ample with dried-cure black olives, blackberry compote and chicory flavors.
Big, bold and stunning!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
