Hauntingly savoury and delicious Spanish red wine from one of the country's best producers. There must be a typo on the price for such quality. Full-bodied and smooth with incredible texture. From the hands of a master: when you see Alvaro Palacios’ name on the label, buy it ... quickly. Try it with grilled chicken.

Tempranillo food pairings: chili con carne, lamb ragout, beef, hard cheese, pork.

Reviews and Ratings

Even though La Vendimia is his entry-level Rioja, this is no entry-level wine in terms of quality. Finishes with dried herbs and spices. The wine is made with a higher percentage of Garnacha grapes than is typical of this region, but results in a lusciously delicious wine. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
