La Torre 2018 is an estate bottled Brunello Di Montalcino. Dry, full-bodied and silky-smooth with dark cherry, savoury herbs, cassis, meaty and earthy flavours spicy on the nose and palate. Produced from organically-grown Sangiovese sourced from vineyards 420 metres above sea level. Tannins are firm and there is great acidity for food to enjoy with meaty and rich lentil stews. Decant it for one hour prior to pouring it tonight with a meat-lover's pizza or cellar to 2038.

Brunello Di Montalcino food pairings: slow-braised blade roast, roast pork shoulder, veal Parmesan.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
