Classic Californian Chardonnay with toast, oak and green apple aromas. Full-bodied, and generously layered. It's always handy to have some half bottles (375 ml) on hand for when you want to start with a glass of wine each, and then move on to another wine for the main course. Finishes with citrus fruits and baked bread. Pair with roast chicken or turkey.

Chardonnay food pairings: cedar-planked bbq salmon, steamed mahi mahi, lobster in butter sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Brenda rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Classic California style chardonnay with toasty oak flavours that lovers of this style tend to like. More restrained and elegant than many examples. The generous fresh apple, pear and citrus flavours are balanced by refreshing acidity that comes from the cooling ocean breezes and fogs that regularly roll in from the Sonoma coast. Some mineral flavours also add to the complexity. This wine delivers on taste and value.

Food Pairings: Ideal with shellfish ( especially lobster or crab with drawn butter), rich pastas, anything creamy, and white meats including pork and roast chicken. Would also work wonderfully with turkey dinner at Christmas.

This Californian Chardonnay offers great value and taste in the glass. The 2014 vintage Chardonnay from the winery's Sonoma Coast vineyards is 94% barrel fermented, matured in 15% new French oak barrels, American oak barrels and bottled after 8 months. This Californian Chardonnay is popular with lovers of the genre. Light gold hue with aromas of citrus zest and baked bread. Toasty finish. - Community Wine Review
