This spritely, single vineyard Old World Chardonnay brings with it a fresh spring day in a sun-dappled orchard of white peaches brushed with spring rain. Lovely. Medium-bodied and perfect for seafood dishes. Vibrant minerality that's perfect for sushi and goat cheese.

Food pairings: sushi, coquille St. Jacques, goat cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Ideal aperitif slightly chilled. Vibrant aromas of toffee, butter and tree fruit. This Chablis is medium-bodied with vibrant buoyant acidity and wet stone lift. The lingering toffee finish is always a winner with me. Hits above the $20 threshold for some but this Old World Chardonnay is worth the extra $3 for purists. Serve slightly chilled with creamy pastas, creamy cheeses, goat cheese salad, or seared scallops.
Tasted: August 2016
From Southern Burgundy and produced by Cave De Lugny, this is a warm-hearted single-vineyard Chardonnay from Macon. Good weight, acidty and structure on this wine and simply lovely on its own -- dreaming that you are on a terrasse overlooking a Burgundian vineyard. - Community Wine Reviews
