This is a savoury, full-bodied red with mouth-watering layers of blackberry and blackcurrant flavours. It's deeply concentrated and powerful yet has a smooth texture. There are some pleasant tobacco and dried herb notes on the finish. Great for dinner parties or as a gift.

Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano food pairings: prime rib, roast beef, rare steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Michael Fox rated this wine as 1/100 with the following review:

Bought in Rome 2009 vintage
Very deep, almost inky ruby. Fresh, vinous nose is redolent of red cherry, dark berry and minerals. Supple and dense in the mouth, with good intensity to its black fruit, coffee and underbrush flavours. Finishes nicely long, with supple tannins and just a trace of heat. A very satisfying entry-level Vino Nobile. Score: 89 Source: Ian D’Agata, Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, September 2010

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
