Juicy and lip-smacking delicious without being too heavy. Mocha, sweet dark plums and smoke aromas with blackcurrant weave in this full-weighted Australian red wine. Solid, balanced and delicious. Try it with a hearty meat dish.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: barbecued burgers, smoked brisket, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted Sept. 10, 2017 Colour dark purple, thick legs . Aromas and flavours, blackcherry, black currant, red bell pepper, baking spices and cedar. Taste dry and fruity, medium mouth feel and tannic with alcohol. Finishes with dark fruit and heat. This is a bold rich friuity wine. Too much alcohol for my taste but for Cabernet lovers it definitely delivers a taste. Pair it with a strip loin from the grill.
Kilikanoon is one of the most respected producers of Australian red wine, especially powerfully concentrated Shiraz and Cabernet. Mr. Killerman was a local character known to the winemaker's father, who lived alone trapping rabbits in wild country behind the winery. Try this with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
