Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Broad and potent nose of cherry, plum, prunes, cedar, and dried herbs. The 15% appassimento pushes some of the fruits notes into a pleasantly jammy style. Vibrant acidity, firm tannins, and full body equip this red with everything needed for at least midterm aging. Palate reflects the hot vintage and appassimento treatment with plenty of jammy cherry, prune, and blackberry on the palate. Excellent value for this full and dry red. Perfect for steak or lamb chops.
Kew, Soldier's Grant 2016 is a 14-barrel blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 15% Merlot with a portion of the wine grapes going through the appasimento process from more concentrated flavours. Look for ripe black cherry, ripe red berries, dark plum, sweet dried tobacco leaf and savoury spice flavours on the palate. Very nicely done from the Niagara Peninsula wine region. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
