Reviews and Ratings

Kechris Genesis from Macedonia P.G.I. is an engaging, medium-bodied red that brings together equal parts of the fiercely characterful Xinomavro and the plush, generous Merlot, each harvested and vinified separately before being blended to create a wine that is greater than the sum of its parts, delivering a vivid nose of wild strawberry, ripe black cherry, sundried tomato, and a whisper of black olive, with a mid-palate that is supple and approachable, finishing with a lively acidity and a long, spiced, fruit-driven farewell. It is bone dry, well-structured, and versatile at the table, best served at a cool room temperature and capable of developing beautifully through 2036. Winemaker and third-generation enologist Stelios Kechris, who studied chemistry in Thessaloniki before earning his enology degree from the University of Dijon in France, has led this historic Macedonian family winery since 1989, building its international reputation alongside his daughters who represent the fourth generation of this remarkable winemaking dynasty. Fascinatingly, the Kechris story began in 1911 when founder Evagelos Kechris brought the first glass wine bottles to Greece from America and began bottling wine at a time when such a concept was virtually unheard of in the region. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
