Reviews and Ratings

Mint-menthol with sweet fleshy blackberry and purple plums. Full-bodied, supple and juicy. Finishes with spice and bumbleberry pie. Pair with grilled meats. MINE: This Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra, South Australia is ripe cherry, crunchy blackberry and mint on the nose. Katnook Founder's Block (2014) is juicy, fresh and full-bodied. Katnook's first vintage was processed by winery Founder John Riccoch's in his woolshed in 1896. It's come a long way from that, though now part of Spain's Freixinet Group. Wayne Stehbens made his first vintage of Katnook in 1979. Coonawarra's second largest producer shows off the wine's elegance, complexity and expression of terroir with its savoury black olive finish. Pair with roast beef and all the fixings. OTHER: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very tasty with refined, vibrant flavours of mint, blueberries, black fruit plus a tinge of spice. Its wonderful intensity is reflected in both the fruit and the cleansing acidity and finish. Score - 95 (Decanter Asia Wine Awards, 2017). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
