Fresh and bursting with white peach and Asian pear aromas. Great aperitif. This wine previously won a Gold Medal at the Grand Concours des Vins D’Alsace Colmar. Pinot Blanc is food-friendly, with relatively low alcohol. Pair it with fresh seafood. Great value. MINE: Joseph Cattin's Pinot Blanc (2016) won a Gold Medal at the 2017 CGA in Paris. This PB is a perfect patio sipper and aperitif, as well as a perfect pairing to egg dishes, quiche and light cheeses. Swiss-born François Cattin settled in the small Alsatian village of Voegtlinshoffen and began the family-run winery in 1720. The Cattin family continues to make fine wines, such as this Pinot Blanc. OTHER: The Cattin family have survived and thrived as winemakers for an astounding 11 generations. Within that time, Joseph
Cattin's pioneering work with vine grafts saved many of Alsace's best vineyards from phylloxera. The Joseph Cattin Pinot Blanc is perennially fresh and round, with finely defined citrus fruit accented by white floral tones. Enjoy it with grilled shrimp or chicken kebabs. OTHER: [The Concours International de Lyon did not include a tasting note.] Score - Gold (Concours International de Lyon, 2018). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
