JoieFarm En Famille Chardonnay from the Okanagan Valley V.Q.A. is a beautifully crafted, full-bodied white that draws from two estate vineyards on the celebrated Naramata Bench, spending nine months in barrel to develop a rich, layered profile of ripe white nectarine, toasted hazelnut, honeycomb, and dried chamomile, underpinned by a creamy mid-palate texture and a finish of polished, cool-climate acidity. It is bone dry and generously structured, with the kind of quiet complexity that rewards patience in the glass. Serve it just below room temperature and give it time to open up, with cellaring potential through 2032. Winemaker Richard Charnock, who honed his craft across harvests in New Zealand, South Africa, and Tasmania before settling in the Okanagan, brings a precision-driven, low-intervention sensibility to this estate-focused label. JoieFarm itself began not as a winery but as a farm cooking school and guesthouse founded in 2003, making it one of the Okanagan's true pioneers in marrying food culture with fine winemaking long before agri-tourism became a valley-wide phenomenon.

Chardonnay food pairings: roasted chicken with a tarragon cream sauce, seared halibut with a brown butter and leek risotto, baked brie with caramelized apple and crusty bread.
