Produced by Jean-Max Roger, Cuvée Genèse a mouth-watering Sancerre . This is a smoky Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire with laser-like acidity to match bright pear, grassy, fine herb and flinty mineral flavours on the palate. A classic from the Loire. The French winemaking family Roger has been producing wines in the Loire Valley since the 17th century. Cuvée G.C. Sancerre is made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in the "Le Grand Chemarin" vineyard in the village of Bué.

Sancerre food pairings: grilled prawns, poached salmon, roasted herbed chicken, goat cheese-stuffed roasted red peppers.

Reviews and Ratings

From the Loire wine region, Jean-Max Roger Cuvée Genèse 2018 is a mouth-watering crisp, dry and fragrant Sancerre produced from Sauvignon Blanc wine grapes sourced from "Le Grand Chemarin" vineyard in the village of Bué. Love this smoky, gun-flinty laser SB with green apple and lime zesty flavours with a long smoky, flinty, mineral finish. Positively lip-smacking. Chill and pour it with cheesy Arancini Balls. - Community Wine Reviews
