Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Medium bodied and crisp, pale lemon in colour with a moderate nose. Delectable aroma of sweet citrus, with mineral, pear, stone fruit and apple notes that is mirrored on the palate. Short finish. Paired well with Brie and would be successful with grilled scallops.
Produced by Jean-Marc Brocard Kimmeridgien 2017 is a 100% Chardonnay with vines growing in the Burgundy wine region's, you guessed it, in Kimmeridgian soils. These soils are the basis of Burgundy's dry, green apple crunch, chalky, mineral, incredibly zesty Chardonnays with driving acidity. The vines for this wine are grown in soils layered with compact limestone, soft clay marls containing marine fossils. Jean-Marc Brocard created this Geologic Chardonnay Collection to allow the soil to express the Chardonnay. Fermentation is in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tank. Great value and a perfect match for seafood of any kind. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
