Jasci and Marchesani Pecorino from Terre di Chieti, Abruzzo I.G.T. is a fresh, medium-bodied organic white with a sunny, inviting character, offering aromas of ripe nectarine, beeswax, and poached pear on the nose, with a palate that is juicy and generous, layered with white fig and a beautiful streak of saline, coastal minerality that carries through to a clean, lively finish. It is bone dry and light on its feet at just 12.5% alcohol, making it wonderfully easy to sip well chilled on its own or alongside a meal, and best enjoyed in its vibrant youth. Winemaker Nicola Jasci tends 33 hectares of certified organic vines on the sun-drenched hills above Vasto, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, continuing a bold family legacy that began in 1978 when his predecessors converted the estate to organic farming, making Jasci and Marchesani one of the very first certified organic wineries in all of Italy. Fascinatingly, the founder Sebastiano Jasci was originally known in town not as a winemaker but as the local milkman, and it was his passion for the land that eventually transformed the family from farmers into one of Abruzzo's most celebrated wine producers.

Pecorino food pairings: grilled branzino with lemon and capers, linguine with clams and a light white wine sauce, burrata with roasted cherry tomatoes and fresh basil.
