Attractive aromas of redcurrant and wild blackberry with some wood smoke and spices on the nose. Full-bodied and smooth with lots of satisfaction. Some dried herbs and earthy notes on a long finish. Try it with grilled pork chops tonight.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled pork chops, hamburger, turkey, grilled seafood, beef.

Reviews and Ratings

The Cabernet Sauvignon red wine grapes for J. Bouchon Block Series 2015 are sourced from parcels 18, 19 and 20 from the Mingre vineyards with granitic soils with some clay and rock giving the wine elegance. Grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in concrete tank for 12 days under controlled temperatures. Two-thirds of the wine was aged in foudre with the balance aged in French oak barrels for 12 months Look for dark black fruits, ripe dark cherries and savoury spice flavours on this well-priced Cab. Pair with grilled meats and ripe cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
