Isole e Olena's Chianti Classico from Tuscany is a supple, medium-bodied red wine blending Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Syrah with notes of bright cherry, violet, rosehip and licorice. This dry wine displays lightly framed tannins and crunchy freshness that will continue to develop over the next six years and beyond. Serve it slightly below room temperature with pork chops with sage as the wine's vibrant character complements the aromatic seasoning, or pair it with wild mushroom ravioli where the wine's layered complexity enhances the earthy filling. Winemaker Paolo De Marchi crafts this juicy Chianti from the historic Isole e Olena estate, created in the 1950s when the De Marchi family combined two adjoining properties at 400 meters elevation where limestone, clay-slate and sandstone soils provide excellent drainage and moisture retention. The estate has been family-owned for generations and remains one of Chianti Classico's most respected producers, consistently crafting wines that showcase the elegance and finesse of Sangiovese. This refreshing, vibrant Chianti represents excellent quality and will drink beautifully through 2032 and beyond.

Chianti Classico food pairings: ravioli, beef stew, pizza, pork chops.
