Isole e Olena 2021 Chianti Classico is a dry, medium-bodied and juicy 80% Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo and 5% Syrah red wine blend with grapes sourced from the “Isole e Olena” estate. The estate was created in the 1950s when two adjoining estates, “Isole” and “Olena” were purchased by the De Marchi family and were combined to form Isole e Olena. It is located at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level and grapes and vines thrive here in a mixture of limestone, clay-slate and sandstone soils which allow for sufficient drainage during heavy rains, as well as moisture retention in times of drought. Look for bright red berry fruit, wild cherry, rosehip, dried garden herbs and pepper spice flavours on this vibrant classico from the Tuscany wine region.

Chianti Classico food pairings: ravioli, beef stew, pizza, pork chops.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
