The vines for this robust red wine are planted in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The estate has specialized in making Cabernet Sauvignon for more than 50 years. A full-bodied Chilean red wine with attractive aromas of black fruit and toasty oak. Pair with grilled meats.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: meat pizza, grilled Portobello mushroom burgers, lamb Bolognese, grilled New York strip loin.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Nope..... quite a bitter note on the finish.
Intriga (2013) is a full-bodied, robust Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. Lush, ripe, black fruit wrapped up in dark chocolate. Decant for one hour and pair with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
