A gloriously rich and layered Niagara icewine made from the Cabernet Franc grape, thus the lovely ruby hue. Aromas and flavours of field strawberries and cherries. Pair with dark chocolate especially if it has a raspberry swirl through the core. Yum!

Cabernet Franc Icewine food pairings: French vanilla ice-cream, raspberry and custard tarte, fresh berry fruit salad.

Reviews and Ratings

The Cabernet Franc wine grape does well in Ontario and British Columbia. Cab Franc loves the cooler climate and gives raspberry and flinty flavours in a still wine. In this dessert ice wine, it's crushed, sweet raspberries all over with a zippy acidity to match. The Ice wine was a Gold Medal winner at the 2016 National Wine Awards of Canada. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
